How We Partner With Caregivers

Cost-Free Clothing
Our organization offers a unique opportunity for caregivers to access cost-free clothing for the children under their care. In addition to restoring dignity to those in need, this service provides significant financial relief to the caregivers who have generously opened their doors to these children.
Essential Care Items
We offer a range of non-clothing essentials, vital to the proper care of children in need, spanning from infants to teenagers. These necessities include but are not limited to diapers, wipes, toiletries, baby supplies, and accessories.
Our Team

Ordinary People, Extraordinary Mission

God sparked a passion in Ashley for foster care ministry in 2013 while her family was living in Florida. For Mandy, her passion was ignited in 2018 when her family felt called to open their home to foster care children. This would eventually birth a vision for Imago Dei in 2020 after both women heard Jessi Williams speak at their church in Lyons in 2018.

Since then, Imago Dei has had the opportunity to empower numerous children in Toombs and the surrounding counties and are on a mission to instill in them a sense of purpose and recognizing their inherent worth and dignity.

Stories From Our Favorite People

One Saturday a mom came in with a two week old baby just placed into foster care. I was able to hold the baby while the mom shopped for some much needed items. Not only did the mom get some much needed items (clothes, diapers, wipes, baby bed, etc), but my blessing came from holding that little one. To be able to love that baby (who has a uncertain future) for just a few minutes… I felt like I was the one being blessed that day!

Serving at IDM is my way of giving back to the community. It is fulfilling to be able to serve the children and their “parents”. It brings me great joy to see the children “shop” for their clothing, shoes and personal items. Hopefully they will be encouraged and realize they were created by God and they have a purpose and that people really care about them and their needs. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of this great mission.
